About Us

The Anaesthesia and Intensive Care department at Garki Hospital Abuja provides anaesthetic services for all surgical specialties within the hospital, in addition to a 24-hour on-call emergency cover. Many of our anaesthetic procedures includes but not limited to provision of general anaesthesia, neural axial blocks, as well as peripheral nerve blocks.

The aims of the department are to:

• provide high quality anaesthesia and pain control to all our patients.
• provide a unique training experience for our residents.
• promote on-going research into different fields of anaesthesia and pain control.

ANAESTHETIC SERVICES
The Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care provides a wide range of anaesthetic services for numerous surgical procedures at the Hospital. Our Operation Theatre Complex consists of five operating rooms fully equipped with modern and latest anaesthetic machines as well as multi modal monitors.

The scope of anaesthetic services provided by our department include the following: Anaesthetic Clinic: pre-operative evaluation for patients Anaesthesia for various surgical disciplines, both elective and emergency surgeries. Obstetric anesthesia and Labour analgesia (Epidural)
